<03 CHILE UNFOLDED
exhibition
DoCumenting Chile’S Complex layerS.
Chile Unfolded grew out of a deeply personal engagement and months of dedicated work. In collaboration with designers Kjell Wistoff and Maximilian Beck, I initiated the project for the opening of the coworking space noplace. What began as a documentary exploration evolved into a multifaceted project combining photography, video, graphic design, and spatial installation.

The exhibition offers an external yet intimate view of Chile, revealing the layers behind a failed economic experiment in a country marked by profound contrasts in both its landscapes and social realities.

Our team conceived, produced, and designed every aspect of the exhibition. The project includes a photo book, a photo magazine, a graphic analysis, video works, woodcuts, stamps, and the spatial exhibition with display furniture. The opening event featured an artist talk, live music, and the sale of books and photographs to support Chilean NGOs working with the protest movements. Our photographs, videos, books, and installation were later curated in another exhibition, extending their reach.

Photobook

One part of the exhibition centered on the artistic-documentary photo essay Chile Unfolded. Together with Maximilian Beck, we present everyday moments as a visual dialogue, highlighting the country’s contrasts, both in its natural beauty and in its social realities. Unfolding the pages mirrors how the deeper layers of Chile revealed themselves during our stay.
CHILE DESpertó
an Analysis of the Primera Línea

This project maps a new topography of protest that emerged during Chile’s October 2019 uprisings, which I witnessed firsthand. Together with Kjell Wistoff, we analyzed and visualized protest sites, symbols, and actors of the Primera Línea as well as the repressive capacities of the Carabineros using open-source materials in a detailed visual presentation.
